How to prepare Coconut Ladoo | Easy recipe of coconut Ladoo | Coconut Laddu Recipe with Condensed Milk

Today's recipe is one of the easiest recipe of coconut Ladoo. I started making these ladoos, when my cooking knowledge was not that great.  The happiness I use to feel after making these Ladoos plus appreciation I use to get from family and friends, I feel like I'm on cloud nine. I use to feel very confident and expert in cooking when someone asks me the recipe of ladoo :)

My recipe helps you a lot to make perfect coconut Ladoo. I am going to share all points which you need to consider in making these Ladoo right from selection of desiccated coconut. Always go with fresh desiccated coconut, before buying desiccated coconut - taste it, it should be soft and sweet and white in color, avoid desiccated coconut which is yellowish in color.

Let's start with step by step recipe of coconut ladoo..

Recipe Details:

  • Category: Vegetarian
  • Course: Sweets
  • Difficulty: Very Easy
  • Ladoo count : 35-40 numbers
  • Preparation Time: 12-15 minutes
  • Cooking Time: 8-12 minutes

Ingredients required

  • 400 ml condensed milk (milkmaid)
  • 350-400 g desiccated coconut (50-60g keep aside for the last step)
  • 15-20 ml Milk (optional)

Method:

◾Keep aside 60-70 g desiccated coconut.

◾Select a heavy bottomed or nonstick kadai, add condensed milk, simmer for 40-45 seconds. Add desiccated coconut, remove from flame. Mix it very well.

◾After mixing back to the gas stove, cook on slow flame for 3-5 minutes, If you feel the mixture is dry add ½ cup milk. Keep stirring constantly, so that it does not get to the bottom of the pan. You have to cook this mixture till it starts leaving the sides of kadai. Remove from the fire.

◾Remember, this mixture is hot. So rub some ghee to the palm of your hands. Roll into laddoos with oiled hands when the mixture is still hot (but cool enough to handle). Repeat till all the mix is finished completely.

◾Finally, roll the ladoos in the reserved grated coconut.

◾Your laddoos are ready for serving. Happy Diwali :)

    1. Yes, well said ..Initially use to prepare as per the instructions provided in the milk maid container... but I guess like first slow cook condensed milk for a few seconds and the addition of milk to make it soft and very much desirable is my addition...

The best part my family and friends still request me to make these ladoo for them as they say I create magic in these laddoos..

Thank you so much dear for this lovely comment.
